Generally adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition, after a medical evaluation. It is contraindicated for those with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2.

What are the common side effects?

Most common are mild, temporary gastrointestinal effects such as nausea or constipation, reduced by gradual dose increases and physician guidance.
